
Dayton's Beaudoin Named In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Dayton Bombers rookie forward Matt
Beaudoin is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Dec.
10-16.
The Rock Forest, Quebec native had 10 points on four goals,
including one game-winning goal and two power-play goals, and six assists
as the Bombers went 3-0-0 to move within two points of third place in the
North Division.
After scoring a goal and two assists in a 4-2 win against
Wheeling on Dec. 14, the 23 year old had career bests with three goals and
five points in an 8-3 win against Johnstown on Dec. 15. He registered a
natural hat trick in the first period with an even-strength goal at 13:12,
a power-play goal at 17:17 and the game winner on the power play at 19:14.
Beaudoin, who was loaned to the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League on
Dec. 17, ended the week with two assists in a 6-5 win at Wheeling on Dec.
16.
The 5-foot-11 and 190-pound Beaudoin leads ECHL rookies and is
second overall with 38 points (17g-21a) in 25 games. He leads all rookies
and is third overall with eight power-play goals and 22 power-play points
while his 14 power-play assists and 17 goals are second among first-year
players and tied for fourth overall. He is tied for second among rookies
and for fifth overall with three game-winning goals while his 21 assists
are second among first-year players and sixth overall.
Beaudoin, who has an eight-game point streak (7g-9a), began the
season with Las Vegas and had one assist in one game before being acquired
by Dayton on Oct. 22.
He played four seasons at Ohio State University where he had 89
points (52g-37a) and 118 penalty minutes in 149 games from 2003-07. After
completing his season in 2006-07, he signed with Arizona in the Central
Hockey League and had three points (2g-1a) and 14 penalty minutes in 14
playoff games.

Beaudoin, a case of pucks will be donated to Dayton area youth hockey
organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the
ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas
Co has donated more than 18,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in
ECHL cities.
