Texas Welch Suspended Six Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it suspended Texas forward Dan Welch for six games and fined him an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #299 at Florida on Dec. 15.

Welch is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Welch will miss Texas game vs. Mississippi (Dec. 20), vs. Mississippi (Dec. 21), vs. Mississippi (Dec. 22), at Pensacola (Dec. 28), at Mississippi (Dec. 29), and vs. Charlotte (Jan. 4).
