The Flames snapped a five game winless skid on Friday night in Rockford with a 4-1 triumph over the Hogs. Adam Cracknell, Carsen Germyn, Kyle Greentree and John Vigilante scored in the win while Leland Irving turned aside 27 shots to earn the win.

The Flames carried play throughout the first period and captured a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes. Adam Cracknell scored on a feed from Justin Bowers during a Flames power play at 4:54 of the first period. Cracknell rocketed home a one-timer for his 10th goal of the campaign. The Flames went on to outshot the Hogs 12-5 in the period.

The Flames stretched their lead to 3-0 with a pair of middle period tallies. Carsen Germyn scored his sixth goal of the year on a feed from behind the Rockford net by J.D. Watt. It was the first AHL point for the Flames rookie forward. Six minutes later, Kyle Greentree provided a thrilling goal to put the Flames in front 3-0. Greentree cut wide on the Rockford defense before tossing the puck past Rockford's Corey Crawford for his 30th goal of the year. He joins Krys Kolanos and Grant Stevenson atop the Flames single season goal scoring list. Both snipers netted a franchise record 30 goals in 2007-08.

In the third period, the Hogs scored for the first time when a point shot by Tim Hambly snuck through a maze of bodies and found the back of the Quad City net. Leland Irving took over from there as he made 14 saves in the closing period. John Vigilante scored into an empty net to secure the win for Quad City.
