Goebel, Cashman, Brown Return To Wheeling

WHEELING, W.Va. - The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, have announced that forward Tommy Goebel, defenseman Reid Cashman and goalie David Brown have all been returned to the team from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. All three are expected to be in uniform tonight when the Nailers take on the Reading Royals on the road at 7 p.m.

Goebel and Cashman were returned on loan to the Nailers while Brown was reassigned by the Pittsburgh Penguins from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to Wheeling.

Goebel, a native of Parma, Ohio, has played in 23 games with Wheeling to date. He scored 30 points (10G, 20A) in those games with a plus/minus rating of plus-15. He played in 25 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, scoring four goals with eight assists (12 points) with a plus/minus rating of plus-11.

Cashman, 25, has played in 18 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, recording six points (2G, 4A) and a plus/minus of plus-1. In all, Cashman has played in 29 AHL contests with the Penguins and Toronot Marlies, combining for two goals, seven assists and 22 penalty minutes.

Brown, a 2004 NHL draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins, has seen action in four games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He is 1-2 with the Penguins and has a goals-against average of 3.94. Brown, 24, has compiled a 10-9-1 record with a 2.60 goals-against average in 23 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton over the last two seasons. Brown has a 10-3-1-1 record with the Nailers this season with a 2.89 goals-against average and a save percentage of .914.
