TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
Tonight's game is the seventh time the Ontario Reign and the Victoria Salmon Kings will face-off in the 2008-2009 season. The Reign hold a 3-3-0-0 record against the Salmon Kings, with the Reign picking up the win, 5-2, in the last match on February 23 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Right wing Jon Rheault (3g, 2a), right wing Geoff Walker (3g, 2a), and center Jon Francisco (1g, 4a) lead the Reign in points against the Salmon Kings with five. Center Olivier Filion (2g, 5a) and right wing Wes Goldie (5g, 2a) lead the Salmon Kings in points against the Reign with seven each. The teams are scheduled to meet for three more games this season, with all three games scheduled to be played at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC.
Ontario currently ranks first in the Pacific Division standings, posting an overall record of 34-22-3-1 (72 points), ten points ahead of the Las Vegas Wranglers (62 points) for second. The Reign is 19-12-2-0 in home games and 15-10-1-1 on the road. Victoria ranks third place in the West Division standings, with an overall record of 31-23-2-4 (68 points).
