
Blades see pair re-called to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that forwards Mathieu Roy and Patrick Bordeleau have been recalled by the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League.
Roy makes his second visit to the AHL this week after making his AHL debut on March 8 with the Rochester Americans. The 22-year-old heads to Albany riding a four-game point scoring streak with the Everblades and as the team's fifth leading scoring with 41 points (20g, 21a) in 58 games. The Amos, Quebec native set a personal-high in goals during his young pro career on February 8 at Charlotte when he scored his 17th goal.
For Bordeleau the call-up to the AHL is his third this season after previously spending time in Albany and Springfield for a combined seven games during which he has collected one assist and 18 penalty minutes. The 22-year-old heads to Albany having picked up 11 points (5g, 6a) and 77 PIM in 24 games with the Everblades this season. The Montreal, Quebec native began this season with the Augusta Lynx where he played in 18 games, notching 10 points (4g, 6a) before the club ceased operations.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, March 13 when they travel to Mississippi to take on the Sea Wolves from the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at 8:05 p.m. The Everblades' next home game is on Tuesday, March 17 when they host the Charlotte Checkers at 7:30 p.m.
