Tim Branham Loaned to Worcester

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Tim Branham has been loaned to the Worcester Sharks of the AHL. In a separate transaction, forward Tyler Doig was reassigned by the Marlies to Reading.

This marks the first call-up this season for Branham, a fifth year pro who leads the Royals' defensemen with twenty-six points (2g-24a) in forty-seven total games (thirty-four with Reading). Doig, who was recalled to the Marlies on February 27, 2009, played five games while in Toronto and did not register a point. With the Royals this year, Doig has scored eleven goals and picked up thirty-two assists (forty-three points) in fifty games.

The Royals return to action this evening (Wednesday, March 11 @ 7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center against the Wheeling Nailers. Tonight's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
