RoadRunners Sign Center Jim Dahl

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, announced today the signing of center Jim Dahl.

Dahl, 27, has 43 goals, 58 assists, and 101 points in 130 career games between the Alaska Aces and the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL and the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League. The Minnetonka, Minn. native and fourth-year professional was named the 2005-06 CHL Rookie of the Year after pacing the Oilers with 35 goals and 82 points in 64 games. Dahl also totaled six goals, seven assists, and 13 points in 100 collegiate games at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

Dahl is expected to be in the RoadRunners line-up this evening when they visit the Alaska Aces at Sullivan Arena.

In other transactions, forward Ashton Rome has been re-assigned by San Jose to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, while goalie Kyle Jones has been assigned back to the club from Worcester. Rome leaves the RoadRunners with 25 goals and 44 points in 52 games. Jones is 6-11-1 in 21 games with a 3.62 goals against average and a .886% save percentage.

Phoenix opens a five-game trip and a stretch of 12 out of their final 15 games on the road at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday with the first of four games in five nights against the Alaska Aces at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage. Catch all the action live on Independent 1310 KXAM beginning with "RoadRunners Countdown" at 8:00 p.m.

The RoadRunners return to US Airways Center at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, March 19 when they open a two-game series against the Alaska Aces.
