March 17, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
CINCINNATI, California - The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, announced Saturday (March 17) that goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris has been signed by the Manitoba Moose (AHL). Grumet-Morris will be in uniform for the Moose tonight against at Grand Rapids.
Grumet-Morris is making his fourth trip to the American Hockey League (AHL) this season, with his third different team. Dov has played in 13 games between Hamilton and Portland in the AHL and has a 2-5-5 record with a 2.67 goals against average. Ironically, Grumet-Morris has two shutouts this season, but did not win either game because both ended in scoreless ties and his team lost its shootout. Dov stopped 36 shots at Grand Rapids, for Hamilton, on February 24 in a 1-0 shootout loss.
Grumet-Morris, 24, has appeared in 22 games for the Cyclones this season, posting an 11-8-3 record with a 2.78 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.
Last season, Grumet-Morris helped the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League (CHL) win the league championship. He turned in an 18-5-2 record with a 2.03 goals against average, best in the CHL. He won eight of the twelve games the Bucks claimed in the post season to take their first-ever league championship. Grumet-Morris played his collegiate hockey at Harvard, setting 13 school records in the process.
The Cyclones host the Trenton Titans tonight in a 7:30pm tilt at U.S. Bank Arena. The team will wear specially designed St. Patrick's Day jerseys that fans can bid in an auction for. The club travels to Dayton on Sunday (March 18) to play a 6:30pm contest at Hobart Arena in Troy.
Tickets for all Cyclones games can be purchased at the U.S. Bank Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets including select Kroger stores, charge by phone at 513-562-4949 or online at ticketmaster.com.
