Atlanta Gladiators News Release
Five in A Row! The Gladiators five game winning streak shares first with the Stockton Thunder in the ECHL for most consecutive wins this season. The Gladiators set the organization's team record for longest winning streak winning nine consecutive games last year from January 21st through February 11th.
On Top: Third year pro Brad Schell collected three more points in the Gladiators 6-3 win over the Texas Wildcatters and continues to lead the ECHL scoring with 19 points through seven games this season. Schell sits five points ahead of Mark Lee of Charlotte in first place. Although unlikey, The Scott, Saskatchewan, native is on pace to finish the season with 195 points in 72 regular season game.
Doubling Up: Chad Painchaud collected two goals in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Texas Wildcatters to become the fifth player this year on the Gladiators to post a multiple goal game this season. Painchaud joins Brad Schell, Blue Bennefield, Mike Vigilante and Colton Fretter with multiple goal games this season. Gwinnett's five players with multiple goal games shares first with Charlotte and Cincinnati for most players with two or more goals in one game.
Best Start: The Gladiators are off to their best start in team history through the first seven games of the season. With a 6-1-0 record, Gwinnet has earned 12 of a possible 14 points, one point better than each of the teams' first three seasons. Gwinnett went 5-1-1 through the first seven games during the team's inaugural 2003-04 season as well as last year. The Gladiators posted 11 of a possible 14 points during the 2004-05 season with a 4-0-3 record through seven games.
Kids Day Out! With Gwinnett County Public Schools closed on Tuesday, November 7th due to the election, the Gladiators are hosting the Augusta Lynx on Monday night giving families another opportunity to catch the Gladiators without the kids in school the next day. In addition, the Gladiators will be holding a Sugarland pre−release party at the game. Fans can register at the game for an opportunity to win an autographed acoustic guitar and two tickets to their Atlanta Show.

November 3, Gladiators 4, Charlotte 3 - W
Jamie Milam collected his first professional goal to help the Gladiators past the Charlotte Checkers for Gwinnett's 4th consecutive win. Charlotte jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the opening period but the Gladiators answered in the second period with goals by Mike Vigilante, Joel Stepp and Jeff Campbell to take a 3-2 lead. The Checkers got on the board with 18 seconds left in the middle stanza to tie the game at three but Milam's tally was the only scoring in the third and proved to be the game winner. Brad Schell finished with two assists to push his ECHL scoring lead to 18 points.
November 4, Gladiators 6, Texas 3 - W
Chad Painchaud posted the first and last goals for the Gladiators in a 6-3 win over the Texas Wildcatters. It was the Gladiators fifth consecutive win and the Gladiators third straight win at home. Brad schell collected three points (1g, 2a) in the victory to push his ECHL leading total to 19 points on the year. Blue Bennefield, Jim Jackson and Jeff Campbell also scored for Gwinnett in the win. Dan Turple made 24 saves for his fourth consecutive victory.

Augusta handed the Gladiators their only loss of the season on October 21st in Augusta. The Gladiators went 3-for-14 on the power play and outshot the Lynx 38-32 in the 6-5 loss. Gwinnett has not lost to the Lynx at home since a 3-2 shootout loss on Thanksgiving of last year with the last regulation loss against Augusta coming on April 1st of 2005 in a 3-2 decision.

The Gladiators are unbeaten against the Stingrays this season in three meetings. The Gladiators three wins against South Carolina are the only losses that the Stingrays have suffered this season as they have posted a 4-3-0 record. With 8 points, the Stingrays share fourth in the South Division with the Florida Everblades.

The Gladiators handed the Wildcatters their second loss of the season in Saturday's 6-3 win on the Your Best Rate Financial Home Ice. Gwinnett is still unbeaten against the Wildcatters all time with a 6-0-0 record. Gwinnett will be making just its third trip to Texas in team history as the Gladiators travelled once each to Beaumont, TX., during the 2003-04 season and the 2004-05 season.
