Pensacola, FL - The Augusta Lynx scored all four goals with the man advantage in a 4-3 win over the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Saturday night.

Jamie Johnson continued his hot hand, extending his scoring streak to four games with a power play tally from Eric Lundberg and J.B. Bittner at the 2:44 mark of the opening frame. But as they had the night before, Pensacola (1-8-0) fought back immediately, as Derek Krestanovich countered with a power play goal of his own at 3:55 to tie the game at 1-1.

Later in the period, Krestanovich sent a draw over towards brother Jordan, who though tied up managed to send a backhand shot over the left shoulder of Lynx goaltender Dave McKee to give the Ice Pilots a 2-1 edge at intermission.

The second period, as it did the night before, would prove to be the decisive frame. This time, however, Augusta (3-3-0) would break through with three goals to grab a 4-2 advantage. Mike Erickson notched the first power play marker just 52 seconds in, followed by a pair from Joe Cardarelli at 14:27 and 18:03 for the two goal advantage to end the period.

Pensacola continued to fight back, notching a power play goal of its own as Krestanovich scored his second of the night to make it 4-3 Augusta.

From there the Ice Pilots would continue to exert pressure on the Lynx, but Augusta held the lead and skated out with the win. Rookie netminder Dave McKee stopped 34 shots for the victory while Michael Mole turned aside 37 in the loss for Pensacola.

Augusta returns to action Monday night against the Gladiators in Gwinnett at 7:35 pm, with radio coverage beginning one half-hour before game time on your Home for Lynx Hockey, NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630.
