DULUTH, GA - The Gwinnett Gladiators used Tyler Murovich's two point night to defeat the Florida Everblades 4-3 on Friday night at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Glads remain on top of the ECHL's South Division with 49 points (20-11-6-3), three points ahead of the second place South Carolina Stingrays.

The Gladiators were the first to put a marker on the board, scoring at 5:09 of the opening period. Forward Bryan Brutlag danced through the defense to get the puck to Dallas Jackson on the right wing. Jackson sent the puck flying to the net for Nikita Kashirsky to deflect over the glove hand of Florida's netminder Pat Nagle. Kashirsky collected his second goal in his last three games for Gwinnett.

Later in the first period, at the 18:01 mark, the Blades Brayden Irwin converted on the man advantage to tie the game at one. Kyle Lawson and Mathieu Roy picked up the helpers on the tying goal.

Gwinnett and Florida skated to a 1-1 tie to end the opening period.

Roy picked up his second point of the game for Florida with a laser over the shoulder of Gwinnett's goaltender Jeff Jakaitis to put the Everblades on top 2-1 at the 2:39 mark of the second period.

At 5:45 into the middle period, Brutlag dropped the puck off for Paul Flache at the right wing point and sniped a shot past Nagle to tie the game at two. Brutlag collected his second assist on the night with the other helper coming from Tyler Murovich on the marker.

Joey Hadded did not hesitate to notch his 23rd point for the Glads after returning from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers earlier this week. At 14:59 into the second period, Haddad walked the puck past the Florida defense to beat Nagle with a backhanded shot to give Gwinnett a 3-2 advantage. For Haddad is was his 12th goal on the season. Aaron Bendickson and Will Colbert picked up the helpers for Gwinnett.

The Everblades answered as forward Cedric Lalonde-McNicoll beat Jakaitis with a straight shot from the point to tie the game with just 19 seconds left in the middle period. Roy picked up his third point of the game with the assist. Tyler Shelast had the other assist for the Blades.

Murovich put the game away with what proved to be the game winner for Gwinnett off a hard forecheck before he beat Nagle for the goal at 5:00 of the third period. Murovich notched two points on the night with a goal and an assist and picked up a +1 in the win. Pat Galivan placed the puck perfectly for Murovich to flick over Nagle while Cody Brookwell added the other helper for the game-winner.

The Gladiators will head to Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday to take on the Greenville Road Warriors at the Bi-Lo Center at 7:35 p.m.
