Titans Drop Another Tough Decision in Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Two trips to Elmira in five days. Two frustrating losses.

The ECHL Atlantic Division-leading Jackals (25-12-1-51), on Dustin Gazley's second goal of thye game with 21 seconds left, notched a 403 win over the Titans (13-18-6-32) Friday night before 3,453 in First Arena Friday night.

Trenton outshot Elmira 32-13, and dominated much of the game, but the Jackals, with their latest win, are 18-5 at home when getting outshot.

Rob Bordson gave the Titans an early 1-0 lead 1:13 into the game, with Lou Caporusso knotting matters at 13:06 on the power play. Adam Presizniuk gave the Titans a 2-1 lead at 14:22, but Jordan Pietrus tied matters for Elmira at 2-2.

Each team scored once in the second period, with Gazley putting the Jackals ahead at 3:39 and Ryan Hayes, with his 10th goal, squaring things at 3-3 heading into the third period.

Gazley's late game-winner was the only score of the final period.

The Titans return home Saturday night - a Scout Night - to host the Kalamazoo Wings at 7 p.m.
