Tonight's Matchup:
The Express face a divisional rival tonight for the first time since December 30, a 4-3 overtime victory over the Kalamazoo Wings. The Express did not fare well against their out-of-division foes, going 1-4-1-1 in seven games against Greenville, Reading, and Florida. Chicago engaged in their longest shootout in team history in their last outing, going 15 rounds against the Florida Everblades before eventually falling one goal short in the shootout. The Cyclones, meanwhile, have earned points in each of their last two contests, winning one and falling in a shootout in the other. Chicago and Cincinnati have met six times this season, with Chicago holding a 4-2-0-0 record against the Cyclones.
Express Notes:
D Jonathan Zion needs just two more goals for 50 in his North American professional career. He currently has 48 goals and 127 assists in 252 North American professional games... Chicago has not won a game on the road since defeating the Trenton Titans 4-3 on November 27. Since then, Chicago has played ten games away from home, compiling a record of 0-7-2-1... Chicago sees the return of their highest scoring defenseman tonight, as D Darcy Campbell has returned from the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL.
