Oshawa ON - The Oshawa Generals announced on Friday that the team has acquired goaltender Justin Nichols from the Guelph Storm in exchange for a 3rd round draft pick in 2017 and a 5th round draft pick in 2018.

"This is a move that will give our goaltending position stability," says Roger Hunt Vice President and General Manager of the Oshawa Generals. "We now have two goalies who have Memorial Cup Experience. We are excited to have Justin apart of the team."

The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds originally drafted the St. Catharines, ON native in the 3rd round, 45th overall in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. In 2013-2014 Nichols was the starting goalie for the Guelph Storm, who won the OHL Championship. This season Nichols has a 3.83 GAA and a .903 SV% in 23 games played for the Guelph Storm.
