
Bulldogs Acquire Kutkevicius from Steelheads

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club announced today they have acquired forward Luke Kutkevicius and Kitchener's 7th round pick in 2016 from Mississauga in exchange for forward Mason Marchment and Erie's 3rd round selection in 2017.
Luke Kutkevicius, 17, is in his first season with the Mississauga Steelheads and has collected two goals and nine assists in 40 games this season. The 6' 170 pound forward was selected 25th overall in the 2014 OHL priority Selection. Kutkevicius has been named on the NHL Central Scouting Players to Watch list going into the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
"This is a great opportunity for us to add a talented young prospect that has had an excellent start to his OHL career in Mississauga,"Â says Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett. He adds, "Luke combines strong skating skill, size and will further solidify our strong core of young players moving forward."
Marchment, 20, has posted 10 goals and 23 assists in 34 games with Hamilton this season. Burnett says, "This is a great chance for Mason to finish his OHL career on a high note and further help him in obtaining his goal to obtain a pro opportunity."
The 'Dogs are back in action tonight when they visit the Kitchener Rangers at 7:30p.m. Hamilton returns to the FirstOntario Centre on Friday, January 15th against the Barrie Colts.
