Kansas City Mavericks News Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Kansas City Mavericks and Indy Fuel clash Friday night at 6:35 CT in a game that carries heavy Central Division playoff implications.

Playoff Implications
Friday's game is critical for both teams in the playoff picture. The Mavericks enter Friday's play in fifth in the central, trailing fourth-place Kalamazoo by one point. The Fuel are close behind, two points behind the Mavericks and three behind the Wings but with a game in hand. For KC, the Wings own the tie break so the Mavs need to finish ahead of Kalamazoo in points to get in the playoffs. Should Indy win tonight, the Fuel would own the tie break against the Mavericks as well.
Parsons' Play
Tyler Parsons has gone 1-1-1-0 in three games since returning from AHL Stockton, but the record is not indicative of his strong play. Despite a shaky first period against Allen last Friday, the 2016 second round pick of the Calgary Flames has turned away 81 of 87 shots for a .931 Save Percentage since rejoining the Mavericks, including 32 saves on Wednesday at Fort Wayne.
Fueling Up
The Mavericks have dominated the all-time series against Indy, owning a record of 10-2-0-1 against their Central Division counterpart. The Fuel got the last laugh, though, sweeping a weekend series in February with one win in regulation and one in a shootout. At one point, the Mavs had one 10 straight against Indy.
Unlikely Streak
Alex Brooks holds the lone scoring streak for the Mavericks, posting a goal in each of the last two games. The defenseman has four goals on the year and scored his first against any team besides Allen on Wednesday with his first-period strike at Fort Wayne. The defenseman has been steady on the offensive end this year, totaling 19 points on the year.
Last of Four
Tonight's game is the final of a four-game road trip for the Mavericks, who enter the game 1-1-1-0 in that span. KC dropped the first game of the roadie at Allen, 3-2 last Friday, but bounced back with a 6-1 victory on Saturday. The Mavericks then led the Fort Wayne Komets for more than 57 minutes on Wednesday before ultimately falling in overtime in a 2-1 contest. After tonight's game, the Mavericks have only two remaining away games - both at Utah next weekend.
