Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to the Colorado Eagles on Friday night at Allen Event Center in front of 4,107 fans.

The Americans battled back twice to tie the game. Thomas Frazee had both goals Friday night for Allen. His first came off a JC Campagna feed from the right circle to the left, as Frazee ripped a shot in the back of the net for his 15th of the season. Frazee would add his second of the game and 16th of the season, shorthanded at the 4:36 mark of the final period, putting one top-shelf past Eagles Goalie Joe Cannata.

A total of just three power play opportunities in the game, two for Colorado and one for the Americans. Colorado was 0 for 2, while the Americans were 0 for 1. Jake Paterson stopped 30 of 33 Colorado shots, while Joe Cannata stopped 21 of 23.

Miles Liberati played in his 100th professional game tonight. Eagles rookie defenseman Chase Norrish, a graduate of RIT, scored his first professional goal.

By picking up the point with the overtime loss, the Americans have tied Wichita in points with 74. Both teams have an identical 33-28-6-2 record. Tulsa, with their win tonight, is a point behind both the Americans and Wichita and in fifth place in the Mountain Division.

The same two clubs meet tomorrow night at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center on ORTHO TEXAS Military Appreciation Night in Allen.
