BLACK FRIDAY BATTLE

The Oilers and Mallards face off for the second of eight meetings this season and first of three clashes at the BOK Center. Last Wednesday in Moline, Illinois, Tulsa held a 3-1 lead over Quad City with less than three minutes remaining in regulation but couldn't secure a victory. The Mallards scored two late goals and went on to defeat the Oilers 4-3 in a shootout. Tulsa is finishing up a four-game home stand and is on the ice for the third time in the last four days while Quad City is at the end of a three-game road trip and looking to bounce back after a 2-0 setback in Wichita on Wednesday.

TURKEY DAY SHOOTOUT

In a wild Thanksgiving Day contest that featured 86 shots on net and 52 penalty minutes, the Oilers earned a single point in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Allen Americans. Tulsa surrendered a season-high 55 shots on goal and was outgunned 42-15 through the final 45 minutes of action. T.J. Caig dished out three assists and Kyle O'Kane recorded his first multi-point outing of the season as the Oilers dropped to 2-2-1 against Allen and to 4-1-2 all-time on Thanksgiving.

THREE FOR THREE

Third-year winger Kyle O'Kane has scored a goal in three consecutive games and is tied for sixth on the squad with nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) on the season.

SHOOTING SPREE

The Oilers have been outshot in 10 straight games and have allowed 30 or more shots in nine of those contests.

IN THE BIN

Tulsa ranks second in the ECHL with an average of 21.1 penalty minutes per game and third in the league with 338 total penalty minutes. In Thursday's 5-4 shootout loss to Allen, the Oilers allowed a season-high ten power plays.

WEEKLY WINNER

Tulsa Oilers center Jon Booras was named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for November 17-23. Booras scored five goals in four games last week as the Oilers went 3-0-1 and moved into a tie for first place in the Central Division. The 31-year old ranks second in the ECHL with 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) and is tied for fourth in assists. A native of Billings, Montana, Booras has posted at least one point in six of his last seven outings and leads all Oilers with eight multi-point games this season.

ADDING SOME TALLENT

Defenseman Eric Tallent made his return to the Tulsa lineup last night after being activated from the 21-day injured reserve list. A fifth-year pro out of Garland, Texas, Tallent appeared in 54 games for the Oilers last season and recorded 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists) along with 62 penalty minutes.

Matt Larke scored his first goal of the season last night with a first period tally against the Americans...Jon Booras is on a five-game point streak...The Oilers are 5-0-2 all-time against the Mallards at the BOK Center.
