Oilers Slip Away from Mallards

TULSA, Okla. (November 28, 2014) - Drew Fisher and Dave Pszenyczny scored ten seconds apart in the third period and Kevin Carr made 36 saves as the host Tulsa Oilers (9-5-3) defeated the Quad City Mallards (7-5-4) 3-2 Friday night.

Fisher's blast from the high slot knotted the score at two at 4:59 of the third. Pszenyczny then scored what proved to be the game winner from the top of the left wing circle at 5;09

It was the Mallards who had produced the evening's first pair of rapid fire goals. Antti Pusa and Joe Perry scored 53 seconds apart early in the second period to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 Mallard lead. Pusa tied the game by crashing the net at 1:42; at 2:35 Perry rifled in the go-ahead goal from the high slot.

Tulsa's Kyle O'Kane opened the scoring from the slot at 13:22 of the first period.

The Mallards return home tomorrow night to take on the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05 p.m. After the game fans can join the Mallards at Bad Boyz in Davenport for a postgame party.
