SETTING THE SCENE

The Oilers face off against the Americans for the fourth time this season and the first time at the BOK Center. Tulsa is 2-1-0 against Allen and holds a 16-14 edge in goals scored during the season series. The Oilers earned a 9-6 victory on opening night in Allen in the highest-scoring game in the ECHL this season and split a pair of games with the Americans on November 8 and 9. Jon Booras leads the Oilers with 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) while former Oiler forward Jack Combs paces the Americans' attack with 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tulsa Oilers center Jon Booras has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for November 17-23. Booras scored five goals in four games last week as the Oilers went 3-0-1 and moved into a tie for first place in the Central Division. The 31-year old is tied for the ECHL lead with 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) and is tied for fourth in assists. A native of Billings, Montana, Booras has posted at least one point in five of his last six outings and leads all Oilers with eight multi-point games this season.

RETURN TO T-TOWN

Three Americans forwards - Chad Costello, Jack Combs, and Gary Steffes - will be back at the BOK Center for the first time since their days in an Oilers uniform. During the 2010-11 season, Costello led the Oilers with 84 points (34 goals, 50 assists) and Combs recorded 82 points (40 goals, 42 assists) to help the Oilers advance to the second round of the CHL playoffs for the first time in 17 years. Steffes spent his first three pro seasons in Tulsa (2010-2013) where he put up 129 points in 169 games.

SITTING PRETTY

The Oilers are coming off their most successful week of the season in which they registered seven of a possible eight points and earned at least a point in four consecutive contests. Tulsa sits four games above .500 and tied with Quad City for the top spot in the Central Division.

CONSISTENCY FROM CARR

Rookie puck-stopper Kevin Carr enjoyed his best week as a pro while helping the Oilers to three wins in the last four games. The 24-year old started every game for the Oilers last week and turned aside 144 of the 153 shots he faced for a .941 save percentage. Carr, who posted a 2.25 goals against average last week, has been the goalie of record for all eight Tulsa wins and has been between the pipes for 88-percent of the total minutes played this season.

OUTSHOT BUT NOT OUTDONE

The Oilers have been outshot in eight straight games but have a record of 5-2-1 during that stretch. Tulsa has allowed 30 or more shots on goal in each one of the eight games and ranks 25th out of 28 teams in the ECHL with an average of 33.2 shots against per game. Only Quad City, Stockton, and Brampton are giving up more shots than the Oilers.

FREQUENT VISITS TO THE BIN

Tulsa leads the Central Division with 291 penalty minutes and ranks third in the league with an average of 20.79 penalty minutes per game. The Oilers have enjoyed more power plays than their opponent in just four of their 14 games this season.

REMEMBERING QUINN

The Oilers lost a member of their extended family on Monday with the passing of Pat Quinn at the age of 71. From 1964-1970, Quinn played 140 games as a defenseman for the Oilers and recorded 60 points (6 goals, 54 assists). A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Quinn became one of the most well-respected coaches in the NHL and spent time as the bench boss of the Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Edmonton Oilers. In 2002, Quinn coached the Canadian Olympic Team to a gold medal in Salt Lake City.
