Alexandre Mallet Reassigned to Stockton

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have been reassigned forward Alexandre Mallet by the Islanders.

Mallet, 22, was acquired along with a third round draft pick by the Islanders from the Vancouver Canucks earlier today in a trade that sent former Thunder defenseman Andrey Pedan to the Canucks organization. Mallet has played 12 games in the ECHL this season scoring 3 goals and adding 6 assists. He played exclusively in the AHL with the Utica Comets last season but split time between the AHL and ECHL in 2012-13.

The former second round selection of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft has played a total of 56 ECHL games and has registered 38 points. Mallet has also played 77 games in the AHL.
