Alexandre Carrier Assigned by Albany

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, announced today that F Alexandre Carrier has been assigned to the Solar Bears from the Albany Devils of the AHL. He is expected to join the team in time for their contest against the Toledo Walleye on Friday, November 28.

Carrier (6-2, 203 lbs.) attended training camp with the Solar Bears and played in both preseason games with Orlando, recording seven PIM. He has skated in 10 games for the Peoria Rivermen (SPHL) so far this season, notching four points (2G, 2A) and 51 PIM. Carrier earned 14 PIM in 16 games in the ECHL last season with the Wheeling Nailers and Elmira Jackals and logged five PIM in two games with the Wichita Thunder. He played in 47 games for the Trenton Titans in 2012-13, posting six points (1G, 5A) and 102 PIM. Carrier made his professional debut with EC Salzburg in Austria in 2011-12, netting two goals and one assist to go along with 37 PIM in 10 games.

A native of St-Elzear, Quebec, Carrier played 141 games for the Val-d'Or Foreurs in the QMJHL from 2008-11, scoring eight goals and adding 20 assists for 28 points to go along with 231 PIM.
