About Tonight's Game: Tonight's South Division match-up features the Jacksonville Icemen and the Florida Everblades. The Icemen will be in search of their fourth consecutive victory on home ice this evening. Jacksonville is currently riding a five-game point streak posting a 3-0-2-0 record during this stretch. Following their shootout loss to Jacksonville last week, the Everblades split a pair of home games last weekend with first place South Carolina.
Series History: The Everblades lead the All-Time Series 24-4-3, while the Icemen lead the season series 2-0-0 following a 4-3 victory at Florida back on November 9 and a 3-2 shootout win last week.
About the Icemen: Chase Lang leads the icemen with eight goals and 15 points and leads Jacksonville in scoring against Florida with three points and two goals....Following AHL call-ups to Hayden Shaw and Charles-David Beaudoin, the Icemen have added a pair of defenseman to the roster. Luke Shiplo was acquired in a trade with Wichita on Monday.....Alexis D'Aoust was also returned to Jacksonville by Manitoba earlier this week....Defenseman Dajon Mingo is coming off a productive three-point week (1g, 2a) and currently leads all team defensemen with seven points (1g, 6a).
About the Everblades: Forward Blake Winiecki leads the Everblades with 20 points (12g, 8a). Meanwhile John McCarron has posted 19 points on the season and has registered 17 regular season points against the Icemen dating back to last season ... Florida is a team that finishes games strong. The Everblades have outscored their opponents 25-15 in third period.....Florida's roster features a familiar face in goaltender Ken Appleby. Appleby was a standout netminder for the Icemen last season.
