Game Notes: November 21 vs Orlando

Last Night Recap: The Cincinnati Cyclones (8-3-1-1) fell to the Indy Fuel, 2-1, on Friday night. Forward Joe Wilson netted the lone goal for the Cyclones, who lose their first game at home in regulation. Goaltender Brad Thiessen stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced, while the power play was held scoreless on its only chance.

Tuesday Morning Recap: The Cincinnati Cyclones (8-2-1-1) picked up a 3-1 win over the Alaska Aces on Tuesday Morning. Forwards Christiaan Minella, Nick Huard, and Peter Quenneville netted the goals for the Cyclones. Huard also added an assist to extend his point streak to six games. Goaltender Brad Thiessen was solid in net tonight, stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced to earn the win. Cincinnati was outshot, 31-26 on the night, while the power play converted on 1-of-2 opportunities.

Saturday Recap: The Cincinnati Cyclones (7-2-1-1) dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday night. Forward Branden Gracel scored the lone goal for the Cyclones, who tied the game with 40 seconds left in regulation. The Cyclones outshot Kalamazoo, 38-26, on the night, while goaltender Neil Conway looked solid in his Cyclones debut, stopping 25 of the 26 shots he faced. The power play was 0-for-6 on the evening.

Previewing Orlando: The Solar Bears have been on a roll as of late, going 4-0-0-1 over their last five games. They are coming off of a come-from-behind 6-4 win over the Evansville IceMen on Friday night, in a game that saw forward T.J. Foster record a hat trick, and forward Eric Faille net a pair of goals. Former Cyclones goaltender Rob Madore came in in relief, stopping all 15 shots he faced to earn the win. They are led by forward Brady Vail (6g, 11a), followed by a pair of 14 point scorers in Brett Findlay (7g, 6a), and Eric Baier (2g, 11a).

Inside the Series: This is the one and only meeting this season between the Cyclones and Solar Bears. Orlando had Cincinnati's number last season, posting a 4-2-0-0 record in six games. the two teams have met 10 times, with Orlando holding a 7-3-0-0 edge in the all-time series.

Next Game Preview: The Cyclones welcome in the Ft. Wayne Komets on Wednesday, in the front end of a home-and-home between the two teams. The two sides have met twice this season, with Cincinnati taking both games.
