Last Night

Jake Baker broke a 2-2 tie with just under six minutes left in the third period and the host Mallards went on to defeat the Alaska Aces 4-2.

Back-to-Back

By following a 2-1 win over Fort Wayne Sunday with last night's victory, the Mallards have won back-to-back games for the second time this season. The have also moved two games over .500 for the second time this season. They first did so when they went 3-1-1 in their first five games.

Home Sweet Home

The Mallards have won four straight home games and are unbeaten in regulation (6-0-1) in their last seven home games.

Rough Road

The Mallards have gone winless (0-4-2) in six road games since winning their opener in Allen October 16.

Comeback Kids

The Mallards have come from behind to win each of their last two games.

First Blood

The Mallards have won their last two games despite allowing the first goal in each of those two contests. They are now 2-5-2 when giving up the first goal and 5-0-1 when scoring first.

Finishing Kick

The Mallards have outscored the opposition 8-2 in the third period of their last four games and 13-3 in the third period of their last nine outings. The Mallards matched a season high for goals in one period by scoring three times in the third period last night.

Perfect Ten

The Mallards are, along with the Florida Everblades and Orlando Solar Bears, one of just three teams who can boast at least six players with ten points or more points: Olivier Archambault (16), Raphael Bussieres (13), Matt Neal (13), Mike Monfredo (13), Zach Pochiro (11) and Guillaume Gelinas (10).

Red Light District

Bussieres is on a four game point scoring streak (3-2-5) and has eight points (four goals and four assists) in his last six games. Bussieres and Matt Neal are among a group of players tied for eighth in the league in goals (7).

Arch Madness

After picking up two assists last night, Archambault now has ten points (three goals and seven assists) in his last seven games and is now tied for fifth in the ECHL in assists (12) and tied for eighth in points (16).

Blue Line

Monfredo last night scored the tying goal in the third period and assisted on Baker's game winner and has now piled up eight points (two goals and six assists) in his last six games. He is tied for the lead among ECHL defensemen in assists (11) and is tied for eighth overall in assists. Monfredo is also tied for second among defensemen in points (13). Gelinas is tied for sixth among defensemen in points (10).

Between the Pipes

Brody Hoffman has won his last three starts and posted a 2.35 goals against average and .917 save percentage in the process.

Special Teams

The Mallards last night went 2-for-3 on the power play. They produced the tying and winning goals on back-to-back third period man advantages. The Mallards rank fifth in the ECHL on the power play (24.1 percent). The Mallards gave up one goal on four Alaska power plays last night and now rank seventeenth in the ECHL in penalty killing (82.5 percent). ).

Head to Head

The Mallards' dropped their first ever meeting with the Fuel 5-2 in Indianapolis November 7. The two clubs will clash a total of ten times this season.
