INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 21, 2015) - Peter Schneider scored what proved to be the game winning goal in the third period and Mac Carruth made 30 saves as the host Indy Fuel (9-3-1) defeated the Quad City Mallards (7-6-3) 3-2 Saturday night.

Schneider buried a wrist shot from the left wing circle to give the Fuel a 3-1 lead at 11:41 of the third. That goal loomed all the larger after the Mallards' Olivier Archambault tipped in an extra attacker goal with just four seconds left.

The Fuel never trailed. Zach Miskovic scored the game's first goal with a drive from the right point at 2:40 of the second period. The Mallards' Darren McMillan fired home an equalizer from the top of the left wing circle at 11:54 of the second, but the Fuel moved back in front for good when Kyle Stroh scored from the slot with just 1:46 left in the middle frame.

The Mallards next play at home tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. against the Fuel. Tomorrow will see the Mallards team with R.I.A. Federal Credit Union to collect donations for Toys for Tots at that game. Fans who bring a new, unwrapped toy to tomorrow's game will receive a voucher good for $5 off a ticket to tomorrow's contest. Toys for Tots annually collects toys during October, November and December and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. Tomorrow also brings another Skate with the Mallards presented by B100. Fans can join the Mallards on the ice after all Sunday home games this season courtesy of B100.
