ELMIRA, NY - November 21, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, are searching for a weekend sweep of the Reading Royals tonight at First Arena. The Jackals are also looking to improve above .500 for the first time with season and win their third consecutive game.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
The Jackals and Royals finish the home-and-home weekend set tonight at First Arena with the fifth meeting of 12 overall this season. Last night, the Jackals walked into Santander Arena and took two points in regulation from their East Division rival. Trailing twice in the first period, the pesky pack battled back with three goals in the opening 20 minutes. They followed with two more in the second period and held off a late Reading rush to win 5-4. Justin Bernhardt scored twice, while Allan McPherson, Spiro Goulakos and Scott Jacklin also got on the scoresheet. Nathan Oystrick posted three assists and Chris Langkow, who was playing in his 300th professional game, added two helpers. C.J. Motte stopped 20 shots to earn his third win of the season. The Jackals also tied the DeMet's Candy Challenge Cup series 2-2 and improved their all-time record versus Reading to 52-52-12.
FAST FACTS
? Defenseman Nathan Oystrick is tied for the league-lead with six power-play assists. He recorded three helpers last night in Reading, with two coming on the man advantage.
? Niklas Lundstrom earned his first win as a member of the Jackals in his team debut on Wednesday in Manchester. The Varmdo, Sweden native turned aside 46 of 47 shots faced to earn the 2-1 win.
? Rookie defenseman Spiro Goulakos has scored power-play goals in consecutive contests. He leads all Jackals blueliners with three goals and is tied for the lead with nine points.
