North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers opened the series with their in-state rivals with a 5-2 win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Patrick Frick and Jack Larsen, who both joined the club one week ago, homered in their home debuts to power the offense. Alejandro Requena threw his third consecutive quality start going six innings and giving up just two runs. He picked up his sixth win of the season. Collin Kober, Moises Gomez and Michael Stryffeler each worked a scoreless inning to close out the game with Stryffeler getting the save.
Moments That Mattered
* Jake Scheiner and Zach DeLoach walked to begin the second inning and then Frick made Naturals lefty Derrick Adams pay connecting on a three-run shot to left field staking the Travs to the early lead.
* With the Naturals threatening in the seventh inning, Stephen Wrenn made a sliding catch along the left field line for the first out and then threw out a runner at the plate for the second out.

The Travs and Naturals play a doubleheader on Wednesday. Right-hander Adam Hill (4-2, 5.27) starts in game one against lefty Drew Parrish (2-3, 4.83) then in game two left-hander Steven Moyers (2-1, 1.32) goes for the Travs against lefty Austin Cox (3-1, 3.22). First pitch of the two seven inning games is at 5:10 with 30 minutes between games. It is the Dog Days of Summer at the ballpark with $1 hot dogs and $3 GA tickets if you bring your dog. The games will also be broadcast on AM 920 the Sports Animal, the First Pitch App and milb.tv.
