
Mikolas Shines in Rehab Start, Baker Homers Twice in 11-4 Cardinals Win over Drillers

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Rehabbing St. Louis Cardinals righty Miles Mikolas allowed just a single run over 4.2 rehab innings and Luken Baker continued an incredible stretch with two more home runs in an 11-4 Springfield Cardinals win over the visiting Tulsa Drillers on Tuesday at Hammons Field. The win was the third in a row for the Cardinals.
Mikolas struck out three in the start, allowing four hits and a walk. Also in Springfield on rehab, RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon was credited with the win, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk over 1.2 innings, striking out one.
Baker's blasts came in the fourth and eighth innings and gave the big first baseman his third multi-homer game in the last six games. Baker also doubled, finishing the night 3-for-5 with three runs and five RBIs.
Brendan Donovan matched Baker's three hits with a 3-for-5 line, scoring twice and driving in a run. Nick Plummer singled and scored a run, extending his on-base streak to 29 games. Chase Pinder homered in his at-back back in Springfield following an injury stint that began in May, finishing the game 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBIs and a walk.
