Forward Tyler Murovich Recalled from Reading by Springfield

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Tyler Murovich ["MER oh vitch"] has been recalled from Reading by the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. In a separate transaction, defenseman Todd Perry has been loaned by the Royals to the Worcester Sharks of the AHL.

Murovich, a first year pro from Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, was assigned by Springfield to Reading on January 6. He played four games for the Royals and registered four points (3g-1a). Murovich has four points (2g-2a) and nineteen penalty minutes in twenty-two games for Springfield this year. This marks the second trip of the season to the AHL for Perry, a fourth year pro from Ingleside, Ontario. He was loaned by the Royals to the Peoria Rivermen on December 18, 2010, but did not appear in a game before being returned to Reading. Perry, who has registered eleven points (2g-9a) and fifty-eight penalty minutes in thirty-two games with the Royals this year, has played 105 AHL games in his career.

The Royals face the Elmira Jackals tonight (Saturday January 15, 2011 @ 7:35) at First Arena in Elmira, New York.
