WHEELING, WV - Mathieu Aubin scored twice to help lead the Cincinnati Cyclones to a 3-2 victory over the Wheeling Nailers in front of 4,260 at WesBanco Arena Saturday Night.

Chris Minella started the scoring at 13:26 of the first to give the Cyclones a 1-0 lead. The Nailers Ben Street knotted the game at two almost 90 seconds later, as he redirected a shot past Cyclones goaltender Chet Pickard. For the second time in as many nights, the Cyclones Mathieu Aubin scored a power play goal. This one scored at 8:43 of the second period lifted his squad to a 2-1 lead.

The Nailers battled down the stretch, but couldn't crack one by Pickard, until a power play opportunity halfway through the third. After a faceoff win in the offensive zone, Nick Petersen fed a cross ice pass to Street, who one-timed the puck into the net, to tie the game at two. The Nailers rode the momentum generating several quality scoring chances, but Pickard made all of the stops to keep the game tied. With 58 seconds remaining in regulation, the Nailers coughed up the puck behind the net, allowing Aubin to score the game's winning goal past Nailers goaltender Patrick Killeen from the top of the crease.

The loss for Wheeling, allows Cincinnati to pull within three for first place of the division. The two teams will meet again on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at US Bank Arena.
