TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
Season Series: Nailers lead 4-2
The Nailers defeated the Cyclones last night 6-3 at US Bank Arena, snapping Cincinnati's four game winning streak. The win extended Wheeling's lead in the North Division to five points. Joey Haddad scored twice, while Ben Street and Nick Petersen logged three-point nights. Brady Calla scored twice for the Cyclones, while Dustin Sproat added three assists. Both teams set the tone for tonight late in the game, as the game ended with some heavy hits and fights.
Tonight's game marks the second of three straight between the two teams, which will conclude on Tuesday in Cincy. The Nailers Nick Petersen has registered a goal in 9 of his last 11 games and has 14 points (7g,7a) in six games against the Cyclones.
