Lincoln Saltdogs News Release
LINCOLN - The Saltdogs signed RHP Travis Parker Saturday, a NCAA D-I second-team All-American and former All-State performer at Lincoln Northeast.
Parker just wrapped up his senior season at Saint Louis University, where he did not allow an earned run the entire year, spanning a school-record 27 appearances.
The Lincoln native went 3-1 with 12 saves and 32 strikeouts. Parker holds the Billikens all-time record with 22 career saves and finished his collegiate stint with a 1.61 ERA in 50 games.
This past season, Parker helped lead Saint Louis to a school-record 41 wins and a share of the Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season title for the first time.
Parker played his high school ball at Lincoln Northeast, where he earned first-team All-State honors his senior season and second-team All-State recognition for his junior campaign.
The 6-foot-1 right hander also spent time at Seward County Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College before transferred to SLU.
