Sioux Falls 7, St. Paul 6

The Pheasants and Saints were deadlocked at six runs apiece since St. Paul's two-run sixth inning. But in the bottom of the ninth, Sioux Falls RF Christian Guerrero milked an 11-pitch at-bat into a walk to open the frame. And after a sacrifice and a fielder's choice, Guerrero came home on a a single from C Al Quintana, winning the game, 7-6. Guerrero went 3-for-4, hitting his fifth double of the year, scoring twice and batting in two runs. St. Paul got a big night from SS Tanner Townswend, who went 2-for-3, his eight double, two runs and two RBI.

Fargo-Moorhead 5, Lincoln 0

The RedHawks took a scoreless tie after four innings and proceeded to score at least run in four consecutive frames to earn a 5-0 win over Lincoln. Fargo-Moorhead DH Sergio Pedroza hit his first homer of the year, a two-run blast that broke the 0-0 tie in the fifth. From that point on, the lead kept growing for the RedHawks. That increasing advantage gave starting Fargo-Moorhead pitcher Alex Caldera. Caldera earned his fourth win of the year, striking out nine batters in eight innings while giving up just five hits and a walk.

Sioux City 4, Winnipeg 3

Winnipeg fought back from a three-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth inning, but after two consecutive run-scoring hits, Explorers reliever Chris Bodishbaugh picked up the second and third outs to preserve his club's 4-3 victory. It was his eighth win of the year. With the score tied at zero in the bottom of the fifth inning, Explorers SS Brian Bistagne hit his eighth double of the year, scoring two runs and putting his club on the path to victory. The two-bagger was Bistagne's only hit of the evening. Two innings later after seeing the Goldeyes score a run in the sixth, Sioux City put two more runs on the board, giving the team all the runs it would need for the win.

Amarillo 9, Gary SouthShore 6

With the score tied at two runs apiece, the Sox put together a five-run third, the final three runs coming via an Adam Buschini homer. Amarillo went on to win, 9-6. Buschini went 2-for-4, and his homer was his sixth of the year. Sox starting pitcher Jack Spradlin pulled his season record above .500 at 3-2, throwing five innings and allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts. The RailCats three RBI and two runs from 3B Mike Rohde, who went 2-for-3 on the night. Rohde also hit his seventh double of the year, but couldn't carry his club to victory.

Wichita 9, Kansas City 4

The Wingnuts scored at least a run in five of the middle seven innings Saturday, defeating the T-Bones, 9-4. Leading the offensive onslaught, 1B CJ Ziegler hit his eight home run of the year and walked three times. With his 1-for-2 performance, he raised his average to .312. Kansas City got three hits and two walks from leadoff LF Justin C. Bass, who scored three of the team's four runs. Starting Wingnuts pitcher Josh Lowey earned his fifth win of the year, throwing 5.1 innings and allowing three runs on six hits with six strikeouts.

El Paso 3, Laredo 2 (13 innings)

After 12 innings of 1-1 baseball, the Diablos got a two-run homer from Nelson Teilon in the top of the 13th - Teilon's second hit of the game - and El Paso went on to win, 3-2. Teilon went 2-for-6 with a run and two RBI - his 13th and 14th of the year. Laredo scored a run in the bottom of the frame when LF Palmer Karr Jr. singled in 2B Anthony Scelfo. But two batters later, Diablos reliever Ronny Moria retired Laredo's Kevin Butler to finish off the El Paso victory. Moria - who entered in the 12th inning as the fifth Diablos hurler - got the victory after allowing one run on four hits with a strikeout. The win was Moria's second of the year.
