Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ONT. - For the second straight night, three third-period goals by the Adirondack Flames (5-6-1-0) were the undoing of the Hamilton Bulldogs (4-6-2-0) as the 'Dogs fell 4-3 on Saturday evening at FirstOntario Centre.

Hamilton forward Jacob de la Rose opened the scoring at 7:42 of the first period when he followed up on a rebound from a Gabriel Dumont breakaway and buried his first goal as a Bulldog, shorthanded.

Adirondack forward Garnet Hathaway responded just 59 seconds later on the power play to tie the game, 1-1, with assists from defenceman Ryan Culkin and forward Max Reinhart.

Bulldogs forward Sven Andrighetto gave the 'Dogs a 2-1 lead at 8:49 of the second period with a one-timer on the power play for his team-leading sixth goal of the season, with assists from forwards T.J. Hensick and Charles Hudon.

Flames forward Bryce Van Brabant tied things at 2-2 just 1:31 into the third period when he poked a loose puck in the crease past Bulldogs goaltender Mike Condon, with assists from forwards Bill Arnold and Nathan Moon.

Just over a minute later, the Flames took a 3-2 lead with a goal by forward Turner Elson, assisted by forwards Ken Agostino and Mathieu Tousignant.

Tousignant extended his club's lead to 4-2 at 5:43 of the third period, assisted by Agostino.

Bulldogs defenceman Magnus Nygren potted his first goal with the club to get within one, 4-3, with 1:21 to go in the third period, but that was a close as Hamilton would get. Hensick and Dumont had assists on the play.

Condon made 32 saves on 36 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss, while Joni Ortio stopped 36 of 39 shots faced for the Flames in the win.

Hamilton went 1-for-7 on the power play, while Adirondack was 1-for-6 with a man advantage.
