FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps' final beer tasting of the 2011 season is coming up Thursday, Sept. 1. The VIP tasting includes brews from three local distributors, an all-you-can-eat meal, door prizes and a collector's-item TinCaps growler.
The tasting kicks off from the Treetops Rooftop Party Area at 6:05 p.m., prior to the TinCaps' game against the South Bend Silver Hawks. Five Star Distributing, AALCO Distributing and Mad Anthony Brewing Company will provide a variety of beers. The tasting runs until 7:05 p.m.; after that point, Thirsty Thursday pricing will be in effect with $1 domestic drafts and $2 drink specials.
An all-you-can-eat meal is part of the VIP package, with a menu including burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken wings, rib tips, grilled chicken breasts, apple crisp dessert and more. Food will be served beginning at 6:35 p.m. through the end of the seventh inning of the game.
All fans attending the beer tasting receive a free, one-of-a-kind TinCaps growler. They also have a chance to win door prizes throughout the night.
VIP tickets to the beer tasting are priced at $40. A limited number of tickets are available and all of the TinCaps' tastings have sold out well in advance. To make reservations, call Tyler Baker at (260) 407-2802 by Thursday, August 25. Fans must be 21 years old or over to attend.
