
Fata and Paddock reassigned to Nailers

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce today that the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have reassigned defenseman Drew Fata and center Cam Paddock to the Nailers.
Fata, 22, has appeared in 18 games with the Penguins this season, recording two points (1+1) and 50 penalty minutes. In three games with the Nailers this season, he has one assist and 22 penalty minutes. Fata was assigned to Wheeling on November 30th and later recalled by the Penguins on December 6th.
The 6'1", 209-pound native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario split last season between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Wheeling. He appeared in 23 games with the Penguins, recording three points (1+2) and 26 penalty minutes. In 28 games with the Nailers, Fata posted 16 points (6+10) and 61 penalty minutes. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (86th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.
Paddock, 21, is scoreless with six penalty minutes in 13 games with the Penguins this season. He was assigned to the Nailers for the second time this season on November 30th and recorded one goal and six penalty minutes in seven games. Overall, Paddock has recorded three goals and 19 penalty minutes in 11 games with the Nailers. He was recalled by the Penguins on December 18th.
The 6'1", 196-pound native of North Vancouver, B.C. appeared in one game with the Penguins last season, going scoreless with two penalty minutes. He was assigned to Kelowna (WHL) on October 11, 2003 and helped the Rockets to the Memorial Cup Championship.
In five seasons with the Rockets (1999-2004), he recorded 205 points (107+98) and 467 penalty minutes in 323 career games. Paddock was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
