Etienne Beaudry Returns for Subway Alumni Game

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots are proud to announce that Etienne Beaudry for the second season will play in the Subway/Ice Pilots Alumni Game on Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. The game will be played before the Ice Pilots take on the Mississippi Sea Wolves at "The Hangar" at 7:05 p.m.

Beaudry played for the Ice Pilots during the 1997-98 regular season and also during the 1998-99 season only to have his career shortened when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Beaudry played in a total of 94 regular season games with the Ice Pilots scoring 16 goals, 26 assists for 42 points and picked up 61 penalty minutes.

The Ice Pilots traded Beaudry to the Richmond Renegades on March 3, 1998 but was re-acquired by the Ice Pilots from Richmond in a trade on June 23, 1998. He played his junior hockey with Sherbrooke of the QMJHL from 1992-1996 with his best year during the 1995-96 season scoring 55 goals, 85 assists for 140 points and picked up 55 penalty minutes in 70 games played.

Beaudry, who is 29 years old, has been cancer free for the last five years and is currently working as an electrician in Montreal, Quebec.

Beaudry joins Craig Brown, Eon MacFarlane, Christian Sbrooca, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard, Shane Calder, Chad Quenneville, Scott Malone, Scott LaGrand, Kelly Hultgren, Andrew Rodgers and Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr who will play in the Subway/Ice Pilots Alumni Game. Representatives from the Jr. Ice Pilots and Senior League will also play in the game.

During the intermission of the Ice Pilots vs. Mississippi game, the Subway Hall of Fame Banner will be displayed as a couple of players will be inducted onto the Subway Hall of Fame Banner. Voting is currently taking place at www.icepilots.com for your top ten alumni players. Christian Sbrocca will sing both the Canadian and Am erican National Anthems before the Ice Pilots game vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m.

The Ice Pilots play home tonight vs. Charlotte at 7:05 p.m. Fans can purchase one $15 or $13 ticket to tomorrow's game and get another $15 or $13 ticket for free at the Civic Center box office.

The Ice Pilots will play at Louisiana tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. and will return home Saturday, New Year's Night vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. The first 100 fans who bring $5 worth of non winning Florida Lottery tickets to the Civic Center box office will receive a ticket to the game. Also Black Tie Bridal will have a contest to win two tickets for the Ice Pilots home game vs. Louisiana on January 8th and a chance to win a formal gown and tuxedo rental for Mardi Gras or Prom.
