Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons nine-game home unbeaten streak was halted on Friday as the Utah Grizzlies skated away with a 3-1 win in front of 4,009 fans at Save Mart Center.

Utah scored the lone goal of the opening period at the 19:00 mark. Ryan Kinasewich skated into the Fresno zone, and from the top of the left-wing circle, feathered a pass down low for Scott Burt, who tipped the puck past Kris Mayotte for his 18th goal of the season.

The score remained 1-0 until the opening minute of the third period when Utah's Keith Johnson beat Mayotte with a quick shot from the near post to extend the Grizzlies' lead to 2-0.

Fresno answered the goal quickly just 23 seconds later to pull back within one. Brady Leisenring skated into the Utah zone, and fed a drop pass for Matt Stefanishion, who blasted a slap shot over the left shoulder of goaltender Mike Mole from the top of the right-wing circle to make it a 2-1 game.

Utah got a power play late in the game, and Olivier Labelle scored a power-play goal into an empty net at 19:40 to set the final.
