Dayton, OH- The defending American Conference Champion Dayton Bombers ended their winless streak with an exciting 1-0 win over rival Trenton Devils in front of 7,621 fans for Military Appreciation Night at the Nutter Center on Saturday.

Getting back to North division business, both teams carried an upbeat flow to start the game. Despite several quality scoring chances in the first period, neither team found the back of the net, leaving it a scoreless contest at the break. Dayton led in Shots 10-4.

The second period began in much the same way as the first, until Bombers forward Ryan Smyth notched his 10th goal of the season. The goal, coming at the 8:54 mark, was assisted by Grant Goeckner-Zoeller and Gary Klapkowski, giving him his first point as a Dayton Bomber.
