Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release

PENSACOLA, FL - Ice Pilots players Erik Fabian and Bryan McGregor visited Lipscomb Elementary school in Pensacola on Thursday, reading to children and their families on the final day of their year long reading challenge. This was also a celebration of the school kids' hard work in logging hours of reading during the school year.

The children met people from the community and listened to them read their favorite books then they participated in an awards ceremony congratulating them for their accomplishments.

The Ice Pilots participated in the ceremony as prizes were handed out to the kids for their accomplishments. Prizes ranged from toys and gift certificates to Ice Pilots tickets and even an autographed jersey. Fabian and McGregor were joined in the reading and ceremony by Cat Country's Dana Cervantes and Brent Lane. Also, US Navy Pilot Lt. Hammer, various business leaders and the Principal of the school joined in the event.

Don't miss the hard hitting, exciting action, as the Ice Pilots' next home game is Friday, February 22 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Gwinnett at the Civic Center. It is College Night, as tickets are just $5 for students, faculty and family. Group Tickets and Military Packages are still available through the Ice Pilots office.
