Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Rookie defenseman Brian Fahey of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL has been loaned to Worcester of the American Hockey League. Fahey signed a player tryout agreement, and could appear in the Ice Cats line-up as early as tomorrow when Worcester hosts Hartford.

Fahey, 22, leads all Bullies defensemen in scoring with 6 goals and 23 points. He is currently tied for 18th overall in scoring among ECHL defensemen, and leads all ECHL rookies in plus-minus with a +20 rating. The Glenview, IL native joined fellow Bullies Sam Paolini and Scott Stirling as members of the Eastern Conference roster at the 2004 ECHL All-Star Game held January 21 in Peoria.

Fahey becomes the sixth Bully this season to receive an AHL call-up and the second by Worcester. Center Jim Henkel just returned from a three week stint with the Ice Cats where he played in three games without recording a point. Kirk Furey, Preston Mizzi, Danny Eberly, and Paolini are the other current Bullies that have spent time in the AHL this season.

The Bullies commence their second-half home schedule at 7:05PM tomorrow, January 28 against the first place Wheeling Nailers. Every Wednesday home game this season is a "Wild Wednesday" sponsored by Coors Light and Molson Canadian. All college students, casino workers, military, and service industry personnel get in for just $6 dollars. Also, enjoy a special beer and hot dog combo for just $4 dollars.
