
Express Add Brooks Ostergard

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that they have signed G Brooks Ostergard out of Robert Morris University (NCAA).
Ostergard, 24, comes to the Express after a four year career with Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania. The 6-2, 190 pound netminder played 103 games during his four seasons, compiling a 2.73 GAA and .917 save percentage. He had his best statistical season this year, playing 28 games with a .928 save percentage and 2.43 goals against average. During his junior year last season, he set a career high in wins, going 14-9-2 while posting a .915 save percentage and 2.73 GAA. The Chagrin Falls, OH, native was named to the AHA Third All-Conference team last season as well as the CHA All-Rookie team in 2008-09. During his tenure at Robert Morris, Ostergard never finished with a sub .900 save percentage, and was above a 3.00 GAA just one time.
Chicago's homestand continues against Toledo on Friday, March 16, and against the Trenton Titans on Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18. Friday night is a Dollar Friday at the Sears Centre Arena, while on Saturday the Express will have St. Patrick's Day Festivities, including a game-worn-jersey auction after the game.
