AUGUSTA, GA - The Florida Everblades (18-7-1) won their fourth straight game with the help of a late third period power play goal to upend the Augusta Lynx 1-0 on Thursday night at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.

The teams battled to a scoreless tie after the first two periods, but in the third period Kevin Bergin notched his 11th goal of the season deflecting a shot past Augusta (12-15-2) net-minder Jason Wolfe with just 1:10 remaining in the third period. The power play goal extended Florida's streak to at least one power play goal in 12 of their last 13 games.

The Everblades also used 23 saves by goaltender Phil Osaer to help even their road record at 6-6-1. The shutout was Osaer's second of the season, and improved his overall record to 7-2-1.

Wolfe suffered the tough-luck loss for the Lynx turning away 27 of 28 Florida shots, but saw his record fall to 4-8-0.

On the power play, the Everblades closed out the night 1-for-5, while the Lynx finished the game 0-for-4 with the man-advantage.

With the win the Everblades improved to 5-0-0 vs. Augusta this season.
