Nailers rally in third to beat Bombers, 2-0

Wheeling WV - The Dayton Bombers suffered a 2-0 loss to the Wheeling Nailers in front of 2,530 at Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling West Virginia Monday night. The Nailers and Bombers remained scoreless after two periods of end to end play.

Gregg Naumenko started in net for the Bombers, and finished the night with 34 saves off of 36 Wheeling shots. Andy Franck played between the pipes for the Nailers, Shutting out the Bombers with 20 saves.

Then, the Nailers scored twice in the third period to jut out to a quick 2-0 lead, with Jordan Cameron scoring first at the 3:42 mark, and Kurtis McLean picking up the second at the 17:07 mark. The Bombers did not manage to find the Back of the net, giving Wheeling it's second win over the Bombers in less than two weeks.

Dayton is back in action when they return home Wednesday night to face the Trenton Titans at the Nutter Center at 7:00 PM, and then on Friday night at 7:00pm against in-state rival Toledo Storm.

The Dayton Bombers, proud ‘AA' affiliate of the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets, are celebrating their 15th Anniversary this season.
