Titans make roster changes after break

TRENTON, NJ (December 27, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Tuesday that goaltender Rejean Beauchemin has been recalled by the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL), while Scott Ford returns to the Titans after being released from his PTO with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).

Beauchemin, 20, receives his third call-up to the Phantoms this season. After beginning 2005-06 with Philadelphia (AHL), the rookie net minder has since registered a 2-6-1 record and a 3.01 GAA in ten appearances with the Titans. Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Beauchemin was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (191st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Ford, 25, signed a PTO with Bridgeport on December 21 and appeared in two games for the Sound Tigers. It was Ford's second appearance in the AHL this season having spent four games with the Providence Bruins (AHL) in November. The rookie defenseman has three assists in 17 games for the Titans and is the team leader with a +6 plus/minus rating.

In a separate transaction, defenseman Peter Tormey has been activated off the 7-day IR. The first-year blueliner has 12 penalty minutes in 24 games with Trenton. Tormey, 25, played four years of collegiate hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell with 18 points (4g, 14a) and 56 PIM in 120 games
