Kevin Bergin helped the Florida Everblades take advantage of a late break with a power play goal in a 1-0 win over the Augusta Lynx on Tuesday night.

The two teams battled to a scoreless draw through two-plus periods before Florida was given a power play at the 17:45 mark of the third period on a slashing call. Bergin cashed in with help from Jonathan Lehun and Daniel Sisca to give the Everblades the victory.

The goal spoiled a tremendous effort by Jason Wolfe, who stopped 27 shots on the night and ended up with the loss. Phil Osaer turned aside 23 shots with a solid performance of his own to earn his second shutout of the year. Florida ended the contest 1-for-5 with the man advantage, while the Lynx ended the game 0-for-5.

Augusta will get back to action on Thursday night against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 pm before returning home against the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday night for a 7:05 pm contest. Tickets are on sale now through the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE, all TicketMaster locations, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com.
