Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves look to bounce back against the Trenton Thunder as they continue a six-game series at UPMC Park. Last night, Erie fell 2-1 despite a quality start from Casey Mize and Josh Lester's 13th home run of the season. Alex Faedo takes the hill for Erie and is making his second start of the season against Trenton. His first start was a no-decision on April 6 when Faedo fired six shutout innings and scattered two hits while striking out seven. The right-hander has allowed multiple earned runs in each of his past four starts and owns a 0-1 record in three July outings with a 6.19 ERA (16.0 IP / 11 ER). Shawn Semple makes his Double-A debut for the Thunder after being promoted from Class-A Tampa on July 25. In 13 starts for the Tarpons, Semple went 1-4 with a 4.32 ERA in 66.2 innings. The right-hander has allowed three or more earned runs in each of his past five starts. Semple made one start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on May 25 and surrendered a season-high eight earned runs in 3.1 innings. The 23-year old was an 11th round selection by New York in 2017 out of the University of New Orleans.
