ERIE, Pa. - A two-run homer by Isiah Gilliam was the only offense the Thunder could muster against Alex Faedo and the Erie SeaWolves bullpen in a 4-2 loss on Saturday night at UPMC Park.

Gilliam's home run came in the top of the second inning after a two-out infield single by Brandon Wagner. Faedo (6-6) did not allow another run over his remaining four innings, however, as the Tigers prospect went on to strike out seven while allowing just three hits.

The SeaWolves (27-10, 58-44) jumped in front in the bottom of the inning. Thunder starter Shawn Semple (0-1) issued a two-out walk to Josh Lester and gave up a single to Sergio Alcantara, setting the stage for Chace Numata, who slugged a go-ahead three-run homer to right field. Isaac Paredes added an RBI-single two batters later for a 4-2 Erie lead.

Semple, making his Double-A debut, buckled down to limit the SeaWolves to just two baserunners across his final four innings. The right-hander scattered four hits, walked three and struck out three.

The Thunder (17-21, 55-48) put at least one runner on base in five of their final seven innings at the plate, but went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position. In the ninth, Mandy Alvarez drew a leadoff walk and Brian Navarreto singled with two out, but Matt Lipka lined out to left field, ending the threat and handing the Thunder their third loss of the series.

Chris Gittens went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the game, ending his on-base streak at a season-high 14 games.

Your Thunder continue their road trip on Sunday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. against the SeaWolves. RHP Rony Garcia (2-9, 4.63) will start for the Thunder, and RHP Matt Manning (7-4, 2.82) will go for Erie. Pregame coverage begins at 1:20 p.m. on 920 AM The Jersey or online at TrentonThunder.com/Broadcast.
